Traveling with a bike or a pet

Traveling with your bike or your pet in the Paris region? Here's our guide.

Your pet

In trains & RER, you may be accompanied by your pet for free if:

  • It is small (≤ 6kg)
  • It is placed in a container smaller than 45cm
  • Other passengers do not object.

Guide dogs are accepted free of charge on trains, subways, streetcars & buses.
For larger animals, especially dogs that must be leashed and muzzled, you must purchase a half-fare ticket.

Your bike

You can travel with your bike on the RER and Transilien lines at no extra cost:

  • Monday to Friday before 6:30 am, between 9:30 am and 4:30 pm and after 7:30 pm (between rush hours)
  • Saturdays, Sundays and holidays all day long

Bicycles are not allowed on other metro lines, buses or streetcars (except on metro line 1 and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays).
